JAIN Foundation aims to increase the well-being of people with dementia and/or memory problems and their family members, and informal caregivers of other loved ones worldwide with the help of artificial intelligence and smart applications. JAIN believes in Human-Centric AI for Worldwide People’s Happiness
JAIN is A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) is a Dutch ANBI (Algemeen nut beogende instelling). An organisation can only be an ANBI if the organisation’s efforts are almost entirely committed to the public benefit.
The foundation is non-profit and serves the charitable purpose of improving the well-being of people with cognitive problems.

JAIN Foundation Focus
The foundation focuses on promoting structured development processes in which artificial intelligence is integrated ‘tailor-made’ into business processes, services, and products.
Objectives and Activities of the Foundation
JAIN facilitates connections between companies, universities, healthcare and welfare organizations, and governments. To achieve this goal, the foundation conducts the following activities:
- Developing, acquiring, bundling, and disseminating specific product development knowledge.
- Stimulating relevant scientific research.
- Connecting networks of (representatives of) people with dementia, caregivers, healthcare professionals, healthcare institutions, governments, financiers, scientific research institutes, and product development companies.
- Organizing substantive knowledge management activities such as informational activities, conferences, symposiums, expert sessions, workshops, and courses.
- Advising through network meetings and other public events of organizations on artificial intelligence and smart technological applications for people with dementia, their caregivers, and professional caregivers.
- Performing all further actions related to the above in the broadest sense or conducive thereto.
Acquisition of Income by the Foundation
The foundation obtains the necessary funds from various sources, including:
- Monetary contributions from participants.
- Monetary contributions from founding members.
- Monetary contributions from governments and subsidies.
- Compensation for proven services.
- Contributions from third parties for activities undertaken.
- Bequests, legacies, and donations.
- Other revenues.

Formal report JAIN Foundation
The JAIN Foundation is fully committed to serving the public interest, as reflected in its statutory objectives and intended activities. The foundation ensures that at least 90% of its activities are dedicated to this purpose, with no profit motive involved in any of its public interest endeavors. Both the institution and its key personnel adhere to strict integrity standards. The assets of the foundation are not controlled by any individual or entity as if they were personal property, and no single group of directors or policymakers can dominate decisions regarding these assets.
The foundation maintains only the necessary level of assets to fulfill its mission, keeping its equity limited. Remuneration for policymakers is restricted to basic expense allowances or minimal attendance fees. The foundation operates with an up-to-date policy plan and maintains a reasonable balance between management costs and expenditures. Should the foundation be dissolved, any remaining assets will be allocated to a recognized ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) or a foreign institution that dedicates at least 90% of its efforts to the public interest.
Additionally, the foundation adheres to all administrative obligations and ensures transparency by publishing specific data on its own or a shared website. The financial year for the ANBI runs from January 1 to December 31.
